GRIDSOL project took part at the Policy Conference of the 14th EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) in Brussels from 18-20 June, organised by the European Commission, the Europe’s largest event dedicated to sustainable energy policy under the theme ‘Shaping Europe’s Energy Future’.
On 20th June, GRIDSOL project coordinator – Jose Miguel Estebaranz- presented: “SMART RENEWABLE HUBS FOR FLEXIBLE GENERATION” in the Energy Fair at the Networking Village. At the event, GRIDSOL explained different cases studies around Europe and the tools developed within the project to promote Smart Renewable Hubs.
The EUSEW was attended by representatives of public and private companies, ONG´s and consumers with the aim of promoting energy efficiency initiatives through the promotion of renewable energies.
A “Smart Renewable Hub” is a flexible hybrid plant that combines primary Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and storage technologies under an advanced control system that dispatches the electricity on a single output according to the availability and cost-effectiveness of each technology.
